There is always PLENTY to see at this market, and we NEVER have enuf room in our fridge at home to buy all we want to! There are several vendors who sell fresh veggies and some too who've got Great! fruit; we have gotten so much YUMMY fresh food there that we've been able to cut waaaay back on stuff we buy at stores! If you want the best pick, it's best to get there right at 3pm, when the tent opens; but be patient, you'll still have to wait your turn! This market also has a Seniors booth, which gives vouchers to help our elders just before the tent opens; if you're a senior person, you'll want to arrive even earlier to take advantage of the vouchers. ENJOY!!! WE DO!

I visited the eastside market @ 3 weeks ago and was surprised and disappointed that the CCE was not offering food samples any longer. I was told that their funds were eliminated for that program...what a shame! I felt that offering was always an added plus for the shoppers, as tasting the samples would encourage people to try the recipes at home made from produce purchases at the market. Also, the CCE ladies were always so enthusiastic about it! Thankfully the good & healthy recipes they create are still available. It amazes me that the government would need to cut-back that benefit.
