Share your Thursday evenings with the Wauconda Area Chamber of Commerce! Beginning June 23, Wauconda’s downtown Farmers’ Market will open for business, enticing market goers with locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, beautiful plants and flowers, homemade jams and honey, and savory spices and herbs. The aroma of freshly popped kettle corn along with healthy juices will excite the taste buds of shoppers being treated to special events throughout the 16-week season. Popular local musicians will play favorite tunes. A Wild West shootout will be staged on July 7 to hail the arrival of the Chamber’s 48th Annual IPRA Championship Rodeo. And for the first time in the event’s history, local artists will be displaying their artwork at the market’s new “Artists’ Alcove.” Additional vendors and crafters will offer an array of goods ranging from health and wellness education, cosmetics and skincare, handcrafted jewelry, homemade household items and holistic pet foods. Refreshments will be available from vendors as well as many of Wauconda’s Main Street merchants, including fresh grilled items from the Chamber Curbside Grill. The Market is held every Thursday from 3:00 to 7:00 pm on Main Street in downtown Wauconda through October 6.
